Lt. Westover Memorial Services Set

The Morrison, Colo., Veterans of Foreign Wars post will honor Lieut. Paul A. Westover, the man for whom their unit was named, in memorial services Friday.

Lieutenant Westover was killed in Germany Nov. 22, 1944. The Morrison V.F.W. post, organized after World War II, was named the Paul A. Westover post No. 9695 in his memory.

Lieutenant Westover was born in Bennett, Colo., Sept. 14, 1920. He attended grade school at Bennett until his parents moved to Lindon, Colo., where he was graduated from high school.

He joined the national guard at Brush, Colo., in 1939 and entered the army in 1940, leaving the United States for European duty Sept. 5, 1944.

Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Howard mortuary East Colfax avenue and High street, followed by military honors by the V.F.W. at the Fairmount cemetery.

Lieutenant Westover is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William L. Westover, and a brother, William G. Westover, all of Morrison.
